Funding and Fees Policy

2, 3&4 year old funding free 15hrs and 3&4 year old 30hrs free Funding.

Local Authority funding places are available under the terms of the local provider agreement made between the preschool and Herts County Council for eligible two, three and four year old funding. The Local Authority begins to fund children the term after they turn 2 or 3 years of age.

The department of Children, Families and Schools, states the term dates used to determine funding eligibility are:

  • Autumn Term - 1st September - 31st December

  • Spring Term - 1st January - 31st March

  • Summer Term - 1st April - 31st August

The funding that is available is 15 or 30 hours each week, 38 weeks per financial school year.

Bright Sparks Pre School operates - Monday to Friday, Morning sessions 8:45am-11:45am and afternoon sessions 12pm - 3pm. All day sessions 9am-3pm.

It is possible to split the funding between two other providers. Upon entry to Bright Sparks Pre School, parents/carers will be asked to sign a declaration so that funding can be claimed. A copy of your child's birth certificate is also required.

Prices:

Breakfast Club: £2.50

Morning/Afternoon Session: £19.50

Lunch Club: £5.00

All Day: £37.00
